PASSION FRUIT by Dior Clarke and Steph Martin, directed by Rikki Beadle-Blair, was presented at the Barbican's Pit Theatre, 30th April - 3rd May and at the Cambridge Junction 7th-8th May 2025. This play text, published 30th April, includes reflections on the piece, process and politics of representation by both writers and the director, and its production history.
A self-love story about finding yourself and staying true to your roots. From the first teenage moments of lust to surviving adolescent violence and family struggles; from falling in love for the first time to the thrills and spills of the hedonism of the gay scene...Romeo’s arrived at this moment: vibrant, bruised, fiercely ambitious and ready to share his story.
